Also known as the Graffiti Bridge, the Stevenson Bridge is one of only three bridges in California built in the overhead tie arch style in California, and it is totally covered in brightly-colored graffiti. Promises of undying devotion and love are scribbled next to epitaphs for the dead, and crude phrases, gang tags, and abstract art overlays are scrawled on the roadway. In order to escape the establishment college students from the close by UC Davis come to the bridge, while local people fish from the bridge. Everybody knows this bridge. The bridge was constructed in 1923, and used as a simple way to get across Putah Creek and its abrupt banks. However, it became something more at some point in time. It rapidly gained legend status once the graffiti started covering its surface. The reason for this is that the majority of people in the area have heard of it, even if they haven’t seen it. College and high school students will travel from the surrounding communities of Sacramento, Davis, Woodland, and Dixon to leave their 40-ounce beer bottles, their trash, and their mark. In 2010, the bridge was scheduled for closure and possible destruction. However, it is still open and passable. Farmland surrounds the bridge.

Although, there are some rather elaborate corn mazes in exitance, the Cooley Brothers took this Halloween favorite to an entirely new other level. Since 1999, Cool Patch Pumpkins has been selling and growing, but it hasn’t been rather difficult to keep the project on track. During the initial years sales were poor, which required the owners, named Mark and Matt Cooley to establish new ways to attract more customers. They created a 15-acre corn maze in 2003, which attracted numerous visitors and their families. The brothers became rather ambitious with their main attraction as their pumpkins began selling. The labyrinth increased in size every year until 2007 when the Guinness Book of World Records awarded maze the title of largest temporary corn maze in the world.
