Although our estimate appointment was rescheduled, any initial doubts we had about GVD Renovations were completely washed away when Gary arrived at our doorstep. He guided my husband and me through the process, setting us off on an exciting kitchen remodeling adventure. We are already planning to hire them again for a shower replacement. We had a bathroom shower remodel that turned out beautiful. We are very happy with it. The workers are friendly and do great work. My only concern was GVD does not itemize out the quote or invoice, so it is difficult if there are changes to see what your being charged. The workers cleaned up, were on time when they told us and the shower is quality work.

I am giving GVD a five star review only because that is the max you can give. I have built a house from scratch and done several other major renovations (kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom addition). In all those projects there was something that didn't go right or I just wasn't happy with the results. With this siding project there was not a single issue and I couldn't be happier with the results. Communication was spot on. Nick answered my texts almost immediately. I can't say enough about the crew. Such nice guys and they had such attention to detail. They did above and beyond what we expected. I feel that we definitely got our money's worth. Added bonus, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, so no living in construction debris. They also did the work so fast. My last project was supposed to take six weeks and it took five months. GVD did this project right on schedule. If you have a large project I would emphatically recommend them and will use them again.

We hired GVD to replace the siding on our house, install new flashing around our windows and doors, and a few other small home repairs. Although they weren’t the cheapest bid that we got, we are extremely happy with the work they did and really have no complaints. They were quick to respond to emails, kept us up to date with scheduling, and maintained a clean and safe working environment. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovations, especially if it involves siding replacement/installation.

Outstanding. Workers were timely, hard-working, highly skilled and polite. Working with project manager Alex was easy. The project was for new countertops and new backsplashes the cabinets were good and would remain - that raised a concern about damage to the cabinets during demolition. The job is now done, there is not a scratch on any cabinet and overall it looks stunning. I highly recommend this company.

GVD Renovations replaced new insulted sidings on my house & we are extremely happy with the work. Our old wood sidings were deteriorating & painting was not an option. The worker who took out the tub/shower combination and installed the required new plumbing and then the new shower did expert work and was the most efficient I have seen. VERY happy with my beautifully tiled fireplace, hearth, and powder room floor as well as a couple of small misc. jobs completed, Jan. 26, 2024. “My GVD Team” did excellent work. This journey began with Renovation Specialist, Gary, who set the bar high by his prompt arrival to my house. I appreciated his guidance, expertise, and attention to detail. I also appreciated the time he spent in working with me to finalize the contract for Phase 1.
Next I met Project Manager, Alex, who also arrived promptly. Alex completed a thorough walk through of the contract. He successfully coordinated the work needed strategically working around my schedule from start to finish.
Thanks so much to both Gary and Alex for their patience, always answering my questions and finding solutions as needed.
Then came the actual work. I’m so impressed and very appreciative that my team followed the same work ethic; arrive on time, do an excellent job (and they ALL did just that) and clean up at the end of each day. Thank you to Alex, Oleg, Nick, and Ruvim, keep up the high standard of work! Thank you again to Project Manager, Alex for the attention to detail he gave during the final walk through and making mention that I could contact him with any future work needed.
Lastly, thank you Oleg! While working in my stairwell, he noticed a nail pop that he filled and painted. How thoughtful of him to go the extra mile! A nice surprise. I can’t even tell where the nail pop was. Onto Phase 2!

I got five bids to replace all the siding on my house. All contractors recommended Hardyboard siding, but GVD was the only company that had the Hardy specifications and procedures, and guaranteed to follow the Hardy specifications exactly. GVD was not the very lowest bid, but they seemed to understand the job requirements best.
A crew of four showed up. They walked around with me to verify exactly what work was to be done, what fixtures and trim to replace and what to retain the old stuff. They went straight to work like a well-oiled machine, pulling off the old siding and checking for underlying damage. If there was any question, they asked specifically "what do you want us to do about this?" I was never in doubt that the crew was on top of the job. A lot o flittle thingsl, like dressing up the weather station wiring or the sprinkler system wiring, just got done neatly without any problems.
The finished job is neat, just like the picture books. There were no unexplained delays, like the crew not showing up or leaving half-way through the day for another job. When they were done, they cleaned up all the small debris (nails, staples, scraps of old siding) pretty well.

We selected GVD Renovations after evaluating five other proposals. Their reputation, reviews, and James Hardie siding expertise along with competitive pricing were the deciding factors. Our project included removal of the old siding and demo of an old rotted deck. The installation of James Hardie Artisan V groove siding, El Dorado stacked stone veneer, and painting the siding, gutters, and downspouts. The siding and painting teams worked hard every day with attention to detail. They communicated any questions or concerns as needed. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the end result. Our house was transformed from an outdated cottage to an updated modern farmhouse.

The folks at GVD Renovations did a GREAT job on my siding project. From start to finish, there was consistent communication from Nick in project management, and the onsite crew was exemplary in performance. Their work ethic, craftsmanship, and commitment to customer satisfaction was evident daily. Whether it be the daily, visible progress, the communication on process and next steps, or the worksite cleanup at the end of the day, the commitment to professionalism and quality was palpable. So much so, that I chose them (without getting bids) to install a patio door in addition to the siding project. I had several bids on siding and a window enlargement and GVD renovations was the most professional and detailed in their negotiations. I have had several contractors at my house over the years and I will say that GVD renovations did the highest quality job. The team's work was 5 star, there was such attention to detail , a superior job ethic. I am so happy how everything turned out, I highly recommend them. Only small detail may be a language barrier, I did not ask enough questions regarding each line item prior to signing the contract, so there was a couple of issues.

I just had GVD do James Hardie siding on my house and I’m very pleased with the job they did. It took the crew one day to remove all the old siding. The guys were very nice and they worked hard everyday from dawn till dusk. There were a few days they even worked by flashlight when it got dark. They cleaned up everyday before they left at the end of the day. The crew repaired all the wood damage behind the old siding and made it better than when it was first built. They actually made the house more structurally sound. It looks like a new house now. I’m a very satisfied customer and I highly recommend GVD Renovations 👍. GVD is now my go to if I need more work done in the future.

My wife and I contracted with GVD to replace all the windows and sliding doors in our house and also to replace most of our existing exterior wood siding and paint the entire outside of the house. They finished the project a few days ago. Every GVD employee was prompt, courteous and professional, including the original estimator, the project director, the payment department, and most importantly, all the on-site workers. They listened to what my wife and I had to say and made every attempt to address every mid-stream concern. They also brought new questions of their own to our attention as they progressed on the project.
The old siding was removed in one day. The new siding was precision-cut and installed quickly. The painting also was quick. The attention-to-detail in everything, including the trim painting was incredibly precise. The Anlin windows and exterior Hardie trim are excellent products. The crew applied extensive high-quality caulking in every possible location. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every work day and always maintained a safe work site.
As far as I can tell, their prices are competitive, but it's hard to imagine a better value in terms of quality of materials and labor. Our house is a very modest split-level with little inherent architectural interest. But the quality of the Anlin windows and GVD's work transformed its curb appeal. We were a small job, but they treated us like a big customer.

The prospect of taking on such a massive task was intimidating, to say the least. We solicited bids from a variety of contractors, and each experience varied significantly. However, it was Patrick who won us over during our first meeting. His straightforward approach—outlining what will be done, why they do it, and how they would go about it—was both refreshing and comforting. This led us to choose GVD, despite the estimate being higher than some others. Nick, the project manager, was a joy to work with. He was prompt in his communication and never made us feel like an inconvenience. He seemed genuinely committed to ensuring the project’s success, satisfying us as customers, and sticking to the original contract and estimate. What really stood out was the efficiency and professionalism of the work crew. They completed the project days ahead of schedule and were polite, fast, and meticulous in their work. Their level of skill far exceeded what had been described to us, and watching them work so swiftly and efficiently was genuinely impressive. We initially considered a lower-priced contractor who promised cost savings if we took on some tasks ourselves. Unfortunately, that only led to wasted time and additional expenses. GVD gave us honest, straightforward answers from the get-go, saving us from any regret. In conclusion, choosing GVD was a fantastic experience and well worth it. If I had to do it all over again, they would be my first choice without a doubt.

Wow. Just, wow. Absolutely so happy. We didn't want to take on such a large project at this time but we needed to. It was intimidating. Siding, sheathing, insulation, sealing and painting is a big project. We took a dozen bids, and each interaction was wildly different. Patrick sealed the deal during our initial meeting. "This is what we will do, this is why we do what we do and this is how we will do it." It was refreshing and reassuring. This interaction made us feel this was the right choice, even though the cost was more than some bids. Nick, the project manager communicated instantaneously when required. He didn't try to make us feel like we were a problem. You had this feeling he wanted to make sure they were going to be successful, please the customer, and adhere to their contract and initial estimate. They stayed under their project duration by days, the workers (the real pros here) were courteous, quick and clean. Those folks were undersold to say the least. (Patrick had told us they were something else.) I have watched similar projects take place at a very slow pace. That was not the case with GVD's choice of workers. It was quite impressive to watch the project unfold and be sealed back up so quickly. We almost went with a contractor that offered a lower bid, which, in the end, cost us more money due to an "if you complete a + b on your own, we won't charge you x" We tried that and had to back out of that partnership and start from scratch. GVD came in and gave me the straight answers. Had GVD been my first choice I would not have wasted my own manpower. In summary, go with GVD. It was a great experience. It was worth it.

Our siding had been recalled decades ago, but we missed the recall. We maintained it well, but always knew the time for replacement would arrive. We had three bids on our job and decided to go with GVD. The estimator was great, and he gave us a very competitive price and included extra things not offered by the other two companies. GVD Renovations resided our home. It came out great! Best products used. These guys are very professional and organized. From the initial estimate when Gary was able to review our options in siding and gives us a price on the spot. Several other companies I got estimates from had to send them to me or come back a week later. We also obtained financing approval on that first visit! The crew is very detail oriented. We recently contracted with GVD for a kitchen refresh. The salesman, Gary, was wonderful in helping us make decisions, and covering all the bases. We worked with Danielle, the in-house designer, to help refine our finish choices. Once we picked out the finishes, GVD went to work with a fast demolition, done efficiently and always cleaned up, and then crew arrived soon after to do the tiling, countertops, flooring, install appliances. We are very happy with the quality of the work, and their willingness to make sure we were happy with the finished kitchen. We would highly recommend this company!

We had a very large home remodel recently completed by GVD - Kitchen, Master Bath, and 2 guest baths. The sales and design process was excellent - great communication and they worked with us to choose the right layouts and materials. The construction process was long, but worth it and given the scope of the job completed in a very reasonable amount of time. The tile/marble work in particular is spectacular - the attention to detail and quality of workmanship has made for 4 beautiful rooms. The master bath in particular was a huge change and the kitchen is a dream, clean lines and very functional. They clearly communicated any changes to costs based on our asks so there were no surprises. all of the subcontractors made sure to confirm design details before proceeding and at times made recommendations that were better than our original plans. The GVD team handled course corrections and changes real time. We are very satisfied with the work and love our new home.

GVD remodeled our kitchen , downstairs powder room and upstairs main bathroom in our home in Granite Bay. Work was all completed in a timely manner. The skilled workers in particular were outstanding, Eugene did our shower installation work, tile floor and grout and everything turned out impeccably. Everyone was very professional and respectful. EXTREMELY pleased with the outcome and quality of the remodeling . The price was somewhat lower than the other estimates we got and they stayed within budget no surprises. A couple very minor communication issues on occasion for example they accidentally installed the wrong countertop at first in the bathroom BUT immediately accepted responsibility, and the VERY next day installed the correct countertop that we had selected . My experience this is a top notch organization. Would definitely go with GVD again for a similar project. Do make sure you fully read and understand the contract and what is included or ask any questions before signing if you are not sure as they will abide to the letter of the contract. There is nothing wrong with this and probably this should go without saying for any company you would work with .

GVD did a great job on my kitchen remodel. Their work was excellent and the whole project was made easier for me because of their in-house consultant who helped me put together a plan for the whole kitchen. She produced a 3D version of what the finished project would look like which was a great help. They use high quality cabinets and have samples of everything you need in their office. I was also able to get specialty use cabinets for my specific needs. I highly recommend them.

Our efforts to replace the old vinyl siding on our home started in the thick of the covid times. We decided to replace the old vinyl siding with new vinyl siding, and we started our search for someone reputable who could help make this happen. We met with several companies and received several quotes. We decided on GVD Renovations because their quote was very reasonable, they listened to us in regards to our needs and wants, and they provided professional guidance and recommendations. The vinyl siding we ordered was on back order, forever! This was due to supply chain challenges, and we were becoming discouraged, wondering if the product would ever become available. GVD Renovations sensed that we were becoming anxious, and recommended a product that was available, which gave us hope that the project would soon be completed. We are so happy with our new Hardie fiber cement siding! The product is far superior to the vinyl siding, and the additional cost was not overwhelming. The workmanship from GVD Renovations is excellent, and the finished product is beautiful! My wife wanted a little something extra at our front entry, I thought the Hardie product would have been great. GVD Renovations presented us with an option to have the entry finished with cedar boards. We decided to go with the cedar, and it is beyond beautiful! It really pops against the dark Hardie siding, we are so happy with it. Overall, GVD Renovations receives our highest review. Our home makeover is complete with their help.

We used GVD for our Sun City Lincoln Hills Napa model master bath and full bath remodel project. We are very happy with the entire team at GVD. Gary our project estimator was prompt at all appointments, bid was very reasonable and complete - and responsive with questions & follow up. Ben our project manager was responsive and on top of the details but not pushy or defensive when we had a couple small details that needed attention. We were very pleased with GVD's responsiveness and flexibility when the Koehler bath fixers we provided did come with the needed trim kits. GVD bought similar to fixtures and installed them....many other contractors would have just stopped and waited for the homeowner to deal with it. And Eugene our installer was very pleasant and respectful at all times at the job site....he came and went as needed (we were not living in the home during the remodel project initially) and was highly skilled & did really nice finish work. GVD replaced our siding and several windows in Nov/Dec 2022. It turned out fantastic, and we were very impressed with the professionalism of everyone on site and that we communicated with. Estimates and contracts were clear and accurate, calls and emails were responded to quickly, and work was completed on schedule. It's always a little nerve-wracking undertaking an expensive project, but we are so happy with how it turned out and how beautifully finished it was. I feel like we have a brand new home!

We procrastinated on redoing our siding for a long time because we knew it would not be cheap or easy. Now that we've done it, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. While I was right about it not being cheap, it was very easy. GVD took care of everything! They explained things and made the sales process very easy. Choosing the right paint color from the many options was probably the hardest part. They were slightly more expensive than the other bids, but not by much. We ended up choosing them because they were SO thorough. Their contract and paperwork explained all the things that were covered and all the things they would check for including an allotment for a given square foot of dry rot repairs. Based on all that and their excellent reviews, we went with them. I am happy to report that there were no surprise expenses. The crew that came out was so nice and respectful. They work FAST! Every time I peeked out the window an entire section was done. I also really appreciate the care they took in doing the caulking and painting, as well as hiding as many wires as possible. They really care that the final product looks as great as it can look. Our house is very old and getting the new siding makes the entire house feel like a brand-new house. I couldn't be happier with it. The only bad thing that happened is I did lose an entire shelf of glasses. They bang on all the walls to ensure there is no dry rot and as our ancient house shifted, that shelf fell, and those glasses broke. No fault of GVD's, but something to be aware of - secure your things that are on the external walls. I also must add that every single person I spoke with at GVD was super nice and professional. I couldn't recommend them more.
