In 1950, the Washington Boulevard railroad underpass, known then as the Seawell, was constructed, which was another important change to the community of Roseville in this period of time. This meant that the residents were no longer traveling north of the tracks through the business districts in Roseville, although it did improve the ability of the residents to travel from one side of the tracks to the other.
