Citrus Heights Kitchen Remodeler

Kitchen Remodeling in Citrus Heights, CA

Have you ever felt like there were literally "too many cooks in the kitchen"? Or, at the very least, too many people for such a small area? Or maybe you feel like your kitchen is out of date and no matter how much you clean, it just looks worn. Maybe your Citrus Heights kitchen countertops have stains and chips that attract unwanted attention. Maybe your floors look run down despite being swept and mopped recently. Whatever your kitchen remodeling needs, GVD Renovations kitchen remodeling contractors are here to serve!

Here's how our kitchen remodeling contractors can make your dream kitchen a reality!

Best Citrus Heights Kitchen Remodel Contractor

Kitchen remodeling Citrus Heights is more than just a fresh coat of paint or new appliances. It's a complete overhaul -- a renovation that can completely change the look and feel of a space. Oftentimes, when we do residential kitchen renovation, we enlarge the space by taking into consideration your home's natural structure and your specific needs. Every project is different, and our Citrus Heights kitchen remodeling contractors take the time to get to know your unique needs and goals for your kitchen renovation before anything else.

Kitchen Remodeling in Citrus Heights

Kitchen remodeling contractors deal with all kinds of updates and modernization. Remodeling may mean installing new Citrus Heights kitchen cabinets or refinishing your existing cabinets with a new look. Depending on your needs, worn out kitchen cabinets (doors that don't close, doors hanging off their hinges) can be completely refinished and repaired. In other cases, you may want entirely new or custom kitchen cabinets. No matter what, our Citrus Heights kitchen remodeling contractors can help. We work with the highest-rated kitchen cabinet craftsmen and companies throughout Citrus Heights to ensure you get the best quality at the best prices.

Another common area of concern for homeowners who want kitchen remodeling in Citrus Heights is their kitchen countertops. Stains, spots and stubborn splashes can permanently blemish cheap countertops, which is why we take the time to get to know how you'll be using your kitchen and your counters to suggest the most durable, most attractive options for your needs. We have access to a complete variety of different kitchen countertops, including luxurious granite, durable quartz and much more.

Of course, these are by no means the only areas we renovate when it comes to Citrus Heights kitchen remodeling. We also install new backsplashes, put down durable kitchen flooring and much more. In short, your kitchen will look the way you've always envisioned.

What to Look For in a Citrus Heights Kitchen Remodeling Company

No matter what kitchen space we're working in, we are committed to your absolute satisfaction every step of the way.

Why Hire A Citrus Heights Kitchen Remodeling Contractor Near Me?

You don't want an inexperienced electrician or plumber working on your kitchen renovation, because you really will get what you pay for -- and inexperience is costly!.

When you contact our Citrus Heights kitchen remodeling contractors for a free, no obligation quote, we'll give you all the details you'll need to make a confident decision moving forward. We'll let you know the approximate cost and time frame for completion, as well as how we handle unforeseen circumstances that could delay the project.

We can also let you know during this time if you can use your kitchen or not. Depending on the renovation and remodeling you need done, you may be able to still use your kitchen. We understand that not everyone can afford to go on vacation for weeks at a time while their kitchen is being remodeled, and sometimes you have to have access to certain areas. We'll let you know about this and if we foresee any interruptions so that you can make your plans accordingly.

About Citrus Heights

Between 1542 and 1848, the growth within California was largely influenced by the Spanish throughout most of this period of that growth. The settlement was somewhat restricted to a somewhat limited coastal strip next to El Camino Real. There was also a limited number of isolated frontier outposts of civilization. Under the condition that a man named John Sutter who is a Swiss-German immigrant, would settle twelve other families on this land, he became the owner of a large estate of. One of these land subgrants from Mexico was the Ranch Del San Juan, which was a rich tract of rich farmland that was about 20,000-acres. This rich farm land was first granted in 1844. What is currently known as Citrus Heights was included in this subgrant.

The Mexican-American war of 1846 officially ended in 1848 with the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The treaty also ceded California to the United States. The population if this new territory increased from some 10,000 in 1948 to about some 50,000 people in late1848. Much of this rapid increase in population is result of the discovery of gold and the gold rush of 1849. In September of 1850, California urged the government to admit California into the Union to become the 31th state. The land grant parcels from Mexico were then subdivided up into smaller American township-county system, with Sacramento County being one of the original 27 counties. All throughout the county, townships were established including the township of Citrus Heights. When it was originally settled, there were no roads, few inhabitants, and no settlements in this new township.

In 1850, the isolation of the new township abruptly ended in 1850 when a new road to Auburn was shortened and ran its way obliquely through the township following along what is currently known as Auburn Boulevard to Sylvan Corners, where It turned off in a northerly direction to what is currently known as Old Auburn Road. For about ten months out of year, freight wagons the ware heavily loaded navigated this dusty road that ran to Auburn. This resulted in several of way stations on the route for teamsters to stop and enjoy a good night's sleep.

During the late 1850’s, early pioneers in the Central Township developed their ranches, on Old Auburn Road. Usually each pioneering family obtained some 160 acres) of land, dug a well, build a barn, and house, and started clearing the land for farming. These early pioneers made their living from selling cords of firewood to close by Sacramento, since it was necessary in order to clear the native oak trees. These early farmers used the barley and hay were grown primarily for use as food for their livestock an sold their wheat crops to flouring mills.

A man named W.A. Thomas was convinced that there were enough school children in Citrus Heights so as to justify a Citrus Heights schoolhouse and school district, which were established in 1862. Mr. Thomas contributed some five acres of land on the northwesteren corner of Sylvan corners, and named it the Sylvan School. After it was completed, it became a religious, social, andan educational hub of the community. In cojunction with daily classes church services and community parties conducted held in the small one room building.

In the eastern portion of the district, Auburn Road to the eastern part of the district, which it came to be knows as Greenback Lane. In January 1863, ground was broken for the Central Pacific Railroad, and a year later the railroad passed through the Central Township. The completion of the railroad through the area brought an influx of settlers and increased exportation of agricultural crops by local farmers. Continued migration of settlers to the area led to the need for a second grammar school, the San Juan School, south of Winding Way.

In the 1860s and 1870s a gentleman named Corneilius Donahue settled in the area. Donahue established a ranch near Citrus Heights in 1863 then expanded it in 1872 to include the land that now houses both the Sunrise Mall and the Birdcage shopping centers. Peter Van Maren, an early settler who was a leading agriculturalist in the region, maintained a vast estate of nearly 1,000 acres by 1875. In 1910, the quiet pastoral life of the rural Sylvan district underwent a marked change when the real estate firm Trainor & Desmond bought up large tracts of idle land and subdivided them into ten acre lots. As a promotional ploy to attract buyers, the firm replaced the name Sylvan with the more euphonious sounding name of Citrus Heights, and it has remained so.

Irrigation water, provided originally in 1911 by the Citrus Heights Water Takers Association and distributed by the North Fork Ditch Company, transformed the rural grain farms into the present active community. Further impetus to the urbanization of Citrus Heights occurred in 1912 with the construction of the state highway system and Highway 40, the predecessor to today's Interstate 80. Highway 40 originated in San Francisco and followed a northeasterly route toward Sacramento, and on along Auburn Road to Roseville. As early as 1914, the Golden Eagle-Barker Stage Line offered passenger bus service from Roseville to Sacramento through Citrus Heights.
