James Hardie Siding Replacement in Rohnert Park, CA 94928
Careful prep made all the difference on this Rohnert Park exterior. Working high walls and tight access points, our crew set up proper staging before a single board came down, then peeled back the existing trim around every window, door, and corner. With the old siding hauled off and the structure exposed, we inspected the wall framing for dry rot and replaced any damaged sheathing with exterior-grade OSB so the new cladding had a sound, square surface to lay against.
We installed James Hardie Statement Collection lap siding in Aged Pewter as an overlay across roughly 33 squares covering the main house and attached garage. Before the boards went up, the walls were wrapped in HardieWrap weather barrier, with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing detailing the window and door openings and metal z-flashing tying everything together against moisture. Hardie ColorPlus 5/4-inch trim frames the openings and corners, stepping up to 5/4 by 6-inch around the garage and along the front door, all in Arctic White with a Rustic Grain texture. We finished the soffits in Cedar Mill, wrapped the fascia in aluminum coil, and painted the soffits, rain gutters, downspouts, and garage doors to coordinate with the siding.
In the master bathroom we swapped in a Milgard Tuscany Series window, tan over tan with obscure glass at 47.5 by 18 inches, and patched the surrounding sheetrock inside to finish the opening cleanly.
