Full Kitchen Renovation in El Dorado Hills, CA 95762
The homeowners here wanted an open, hardworking kitchen with a single material running underfoot from room to room, and the finished space delivers exactly that. Our crew started by stripping the kitchen down to the studs and slab - pulling out the old cabinets, granite, and backsplash, taking up a mix of tile and plank flooring, and demolishing the existing fireplace and hearth to free up the layout this El Dorado Hills home was missing.
The new kitchen is built around semi-custom Shaker cabinetry, combining Fieldstone and Waypoint cabinets to shape the working zones and accent areas. We capped the runs with Cambria Buckingham quartz on the perimeter and a Silestone Calypso slab to round out the stone work, both in a slim two-centimeter profile. A farm sink with the homeowners' faucet and disposal sits at the center of the cook zone, with a chimney range hood and a single-unit double oven wired to its dedicated lines. Tile backsplash ties the counters to the cabinetry, while undercabinet LED task lighting and pendants over the work surfaces keep the whole space evenly lit.
To make the new layout work, we cut the slab and relocated plumbing lines, then patched the concrete back. A dedicated electrical line, plus added and relocated outlets and switches, brought the wiring up to how the kitchen is actually used. Engineered hardwood flooring now runs across the space over a clean, leveled subfloor, finished with new baseboard throughout.

We had our kitchen remodeled. New cabinets, appliances and flooring. GVD did a terrific job. It completely changed the look and feel of our entire living area. We couldn't be happier. As with most remodels, problems crop up that were not expected and results in something having to be changed. GVD were very good at adapting and being flexible and were concerned with ensuring that we were happy with the result. The end result exceeded our expectations.
