James Hardie Lap Siding in Rocklin, CA 95677
The homeowners here wanted a clean, modern exterior that would hold up for the long haul with minimal upkeep, and the finished Rocklin home delivers exactly that. We stripped the existing siding and trim down to the walls, set up a proper moisture barrier, and reclad the house in Alside Ascend composite cladding finished in Iron Gray. Paired with crisp Arctic White trim, the result is a contemporary wood-look exterior that reads sharp from the street.
Before any new material went up, our crew removed the old trims around every door, window, and corner and tore off the existing siding layers. We wrapped the walls in HardieWrap weather barrier and installed Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at all window and door openings, plus metal z-flashing, so moisture has a permanent path away from the sheathing. The Ascend cladding covers 22 squares and carries a reinforced nail hem rated for wind loads up to 180 mph along with a Class A fire rating from its (GP)² technology. We finished the openings and corners with one-by-four Alside Ascend trim in white and power washed and painted the eaves to a matching Hardie ColorPlus shade.
