The Glorious White 12x24 wall tile set the tone for this El Dorado Hills master bath, carried floor to ceiling for a clean, continuous look that suits the home's calm, modern feel. We gutted the existing bathroom down to the studs and rebuilt the shower, vanity wall, and surrounding tile work from scratch. A matching Glorious White marble hex covers the shower pan, tying the floor back to the walls without breaking the palette.
Waterproofing came from a HYDRO-BLOK system on the shower walls and a low-profile curb pan, giving the new tile a fully sealed substrate to sit on. We set the wall tile, built in a recessed tile niche for shampoo, and finished everything in epoxy grout for a tougher, low-maintenance joint. A frameless pivot door and a fixed glass panel enclose the shower, with a rain shower head plus a standard mixer and diverter feeding two heads off consecutive valves.
The vanity side pairs semi-custom Waypoint 400 Series cabinetry with a 2CM custom quartz top and an undermount sink and faucet. We relocated plumbing in the raised foundation to suit the new layout, moved a switch, added an outlet, replaced the exhaust fan, and reset the toilet and accessories. Drywall was patched, taped, and textured to blend the new work into the existing walls.

We had a very large home remodel recently completed by GVD - Kitchen, Master Bath, and 2 guest baths. The sales and design process was excellent - great communication and they worked with us to choose the right layouts and materials. The construction process was long, but worth it and given the scope of the job completed in a very reasonable amount of time. The tile/marble work in particular is spectacular - the attention to detail and quality of workmanship has made for 4 beautiful rooms. The master bath in particular was a huge change and the kitchen is a dream, clean lines and very functional. They clearly communicated any changes to costs based on our asks so there were no surprises. all of the subcontractors made sure to confirm design details before proceeding and at times made recommendations that were better than our original plans. The GVD team handled course corrections and changes real time. We are very satisfied with the work and love our new home.
