Careful prep and access work set the tone for this Santa Clara siding replacement, where much of the home required scaffolding to safely reach high walls and tight spots. Our crew stripped the old stucco from all areas except the right-side two-story facet, then took our time inspecting the wall framing behind it before any new sheathing went up. A fresh weather barrier with taped seams went over the remaining areas, followed by LP SmartSide 38 Series cedar-texture lap siding in a solid Evening Blue and LP 540 Series 5/4 cedar-texture trim on the openings and corners.
The right-side two-story stucco wall was left intact and repainted to manufacturer specifications so it tied in cleanly with the new siding. We also painted the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation around the home's perimeter, then reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers once the siding was buttoned up.
