The care on this Petaluma project showed in the details - every corner kept tight, every trim line straight, and every nail set clean across both the main house and the detached three-car garage. Our crew worked carefully at height on the tall walls and hard-to-reach areas, stripping the old siding and trim down to the framing before rebuilding the exterior in James Hardie's ColorPlus system. Once the new lap siding and crisp white trim went up, the home read as one unified, sharp exterior from house to garage.

We tore off the existing siding and skip sheathing, then inspected the wall structure and repaired the dry rot we uncovered before any new material went on. From there the walls were wrapped in HardieWrap weather barrier with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing sealing the window and door openings against moisture. We installed Statement Collection lap siding in Arctic White, finished with 5/4-by-4 trim around the windows and doors and 5/4-by-6 trim on the garage openings and corners, all in the same clean white. Stainless steel nails, WUI-rated foundation venting, and gable venting were used throughout for the fire-resistant detailing this area calls for. Anlin windows in matching Arctic White complete the look, and downspouts and house numbers were reset once the siding was complete.
