Before the new siding went up, our crew inspected the framing and addressed dry rot found inside the wall cavities, replacing damaged structural members so the new exterior had a sound surface to attach to. We then wrapped the walls in HardieWrap weather barrier, sealed every window and door opening with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing, and added metal z-flashing to keep moisture out of the joints. The Cedarmill panels carry a textured wood-grain finish, while 5/4x4 ColorPlus trim frames the windows, doors, and corners and 5/4x6 trim defines the double garage doors.
