Careful prep set the tone for this Sonoma siding project. Before a single board went up, our crew rigged the safety equipment needed to reach the home's high walls and hard-to-access areas, then opened up the wall cavities to check the structural framing for hidden decay. We found and repaired dry rot in the affected sections, replacing the damaged material so the new cladding had sound framing to fasten to. The result is a clean, tightly detailed exterior wrapped in James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding from the Statement Collection.

The siding runs across the main structure in the Light Mist finish, with crisp Arctic White 5/4-inch trim framing the windows, doors, and corners. Behind it sits a full moisture-management system: HardieWrap weather barrier across the walls, Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at every window and door opening, and metal z-flashing to shed water where it matters.
