James Hardie's Statement Collection lap siding in Timber Bark gave this Pacifica home a warm, durable shell built for the coast. We tore off the original stucco down to the framing, which let us inspect the wall cavities and address dry rot before any new material went up. With its fiber-cement build and a 30-year non-prorated manufacturer warranty, Hardie was the right call this close to ocean air and moisture. The deep brown siding now reads against crisp Arctic White trim for a clean, layered look across the main structure.

After the tear-off, our crew installed new half-inch exterior sheathing for shear strength and passed the city's nailing inspection, including framing in three locations reworked during planning. We wrapped the walls in HardieWrap weather barrier, sealed every window and door opening with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing, and ran metal z-flashing to keep water out at the laps. Twelve Anlin Catalina new-construction vinyl windows went in with the Infinit-e three-layer Low-E glass package for year-round energy efficiency. We finished the openings, corners, and garage doors with Hardie 5/4 ColorPlus trim and painted the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation to tie everything together.
