James Hardie Siding & Milgard Windows in Rohnert Park, CA 94928
Set in a Rohnert Park neighborhood, this home traded its aging T1-11 exterior for a clean wrap of James Hardie fiber cement in Boothbay Blue. The main house and attached garage now wear a Cedar Mill lap profile, finished with crisp white trim around every window, door, and corner. Our crew handled the project from the high walls down, including the soffit and fascia lines, for a finished look that reads sharp from the street.
We tore off the existing siding and trim across all exterior walls, hauled away the debris, and inspected the wall framing for dry rot, repairing any soft sheathing with exterior-grade OSB before installing new siding. Over the structure went HardieWrap weather barrier with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing at the window and door openings and metal z-flashing along the laps for long-term moisture protection. The 33 squares of 8.25-inch Cedar Mill lap siding from the Statement Collection came in Boothbay Blue with its baked-on ColorPlus finish, set off by 5/4x4 trim on the openings and corners and wider 5/4x6 trim framing the garage door and the front entry. Cedar Mill soffit and aluminum-wrapped fascia tied the top course together, and we painted the soffit areas, rain gutters, downspouts, garage door, side door, and foundation to match.
In the master bathroom, we swapped out a single window for a Milgard Tuscany Series vinyl unit in tan-over-tan with obscure glass for privacy. The new 47.5-by-18-inch opening was reframed and patched with interior sheetrock to finish it clean inside.
