The exterior of this Petaluma home went from tired, aging siding to a crisp, deep-blue finish that completely changed how the house reads from the street. We stripped the old cladding down to the framing, addressed what we found underneath, and rebuilt the walls with a full James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding system in Evening Blue. The new color, paired with clean 5/4 trim lines, gives the home a sharper, more defined look.
Our crew tore off the existing siding and trims around every door, window, and corner, then inspected the structural members for dry rot and repaired the damaged areas we uncovered behind the old cladding. Before the new siding went up, we wrapped the walls in HardieWrap weather barrier and detailed the openings with Forti-Flash rubberized flashing and metal z-flashing for long-term moisture protection. We finished by painting the eaves, fascia, garage door, and foundation, and reinstalled the downspouts and house numbers once the new system was complete.
